There was an anti-war protest at Union Square on Saturday. My wife and I were going to the greenmarket, and this was the first thing I saw when we emerged from the subway.Let me just say: the left has a messaging problem. It's an anti-war protest, having anti-nuke stuff--and everything else under the sun was there, I don't mean to pick on that in particular--just dilutes the message. The right is very good at keeping on-message: pounded on the health care bill until the public option got removed, pounded on tax cuts until the millionaires got their big giveaway, pounded on spending cuts until they got them. That's the way to do it--pound on one thing, just one, and pound until it breaks. Then pound on another single thing.
