Wilson's warbler, Central Park

Left work early today and took a stroll through Central Park. I saw this bird from the path on the east side of The Lake, north of Bankrock Bridge. It seems to be a Wilson's Warbler missing its tail. He didn't really seem distressed, and flew away all right a few minutes later. I wonder what happened to him? This is a straight-out-of-camera jpg, in the interests of getting it up quickly. Normally I'd process the raw file, boost contrast and so on. I'll do that later.
