Across the street from my office is a new apartment building called "Emerald Green". They are apparantly proud of being a "green buikding" with a big central garden courtyard , greenroof, sustainable this and that, and so on.They planted trees outside the building just as they were opening --saplings still, but nicely yellow-leafed this Fall.Monday, being the Monday after Thanksgiving, they decided to put up Christmas lights on the trees. Here we see two workmen stripping the leaves off a tree to prepare it for the lights. No, really, that's what they were doing. Seriously.
