(continued from previous photo)The drakes swam in tight circles, trying to drown each other. Occasionally the underduck would try to rise up, and then both bodies would slam back down into the water. Most of the photos are hard to make sense of.Eventually the drake who was getting the worst of it escaped and flew off. I have a hard time telling ducks apart, so I don't know if the winner was the resident male or the interloper.
