I saw this bird in the Ramble in Central Park (New York City) on Sunday August 30. It was in some bushes where various warblers--none of whom I got a good look at--were intermittently flitting about. This was in a shady area just above a small brook. This is the closest I came to a clear shot at any of them. I would say this bird was about five inches long, six at the outside. To me, this doesn't look like anything in the Eastern Birds book.
