Spent the afternoon in Central Park. I sat for a long time on a rock overlooking a small steam just east of "The Lake", waiting for a Cedar Waxwing someone had said he had seen there just before I arrived,The waxwing never showed up, but after a time this cardinal flew down and landed on the rock not four feet from me. Apparently she was convinced I was just a boulder.Open the "original size" and look very closely in her eye. (I know what I see, anyway.)
