Red-Tailed Hawk, Central Park

Just about sunset, I was walking on the path between the Grat Lawn and Turtle Pond, heading for home--in fact I was on my cellphoen talking to my wife, when thi sgreat bord settled himself into a tree a few yards away. "Red-tailed hawk, see you in a half-hour, bye", I said, and quickly swapped lenses on my GF-1.Unfortunately, this is the only shot that came out at all sharp because I made a silly mistake--forgot that the custom modes on the GF-1 don't remember the shutter speed they were set with, so I was shooting a 200mm lens at 1/60--the OIS on the Panasonic 45-300 lens worked rather well to let me salvage this shot.He eventually flew off, flying about 12 feet above the ground, toward Fifth Avenue. Very dramatic.
